14th Of June, My first day at ColoredCow.
Me, Shubham and Dhiraj stayed in the office at night. So we had to wake up early in the morning. It was about 7 AM when I woke up. I took a bath sooner(which normally don’t happen, such early 😀). Then I went online and published a post about Why one should do an Internship? KD then invited me to ColoredCow Slack account(Slack is sexy). Then we all members of ColoredCow had tea after which there occurred conversation with Prateek. That conversation have various important points which has immense of importance in our life. Various do’s were told. One of them was to study Code Complete 2 properly. One point that I loved most and will try to adapt in myself will be deliberate practice.
After the conversation, we were provided with our first assignment, Hiring platform for ColoredCow using the technology like Git, WordPress and Amazon Web Server and our mentor is Vaibhav. We had some previous acknowledgement about Git and WordPress but were not so much comfortable with them. And Amazon Web Server(AWS) was something that appeared to be out-of-the planet thing. Dhiraj was given task to setup AWS, Shubham to setup Git and WordPress and I was told to write problem definition and requirement gathering(I wish I had studied software engg. properly in my 4th sem).
The day passed by searching about Git, AWS, format for problem definition and requirement specification. Till night(to be exact i will say 2:30 AM), we were able to setup GitHub repository, EC2 server and problem definition and requirement specification were made which were later updated a lot.
We are still busy completing our first assignment, but from our first assignment we are learning a lot. Feeling comfortable using Git( have a look here if u want to learn Git), fight with AWS is still going on :D.

Yes this is correct, it’s straightforward task to find any topic in net but not in books is because we can search for a direct query which will have a straightforward answer. But in books you won’t get the exact location of answer. Still books are awesome way to learn because most of the articles on net does provide in depth details of topic.
